Using the standard algorithm to divide

Today I’m gonna teach you how to divide using the standard algorithm. First we will draw the standard algorithm which is like this:

For an example let’s take 123÷12. 1 doesn’t come in the table of 12 so we will take 12 so it will be 1.

Now we will subtract 12-12= 00 before we put the three after the one we are going to put a 0 so now it’ll be 10.

After the ten we will put R3. So your answer will be 10 R3. The R stands for Remainder.
